DCA’s Neighborhood Arts Profile

Neighborhood Arts Profile

The Neighborhood Arts Profile (NAP) is a data tool that identifies opportunities to improve arts and cultural services in the City of Los Angeles. This initiative is a part of the Department’s effort in tracking cultural and socioeconomic indicators across all LA neighborhoods. This pursuit of neighborhood-level insights will inform DCA’s place-based strategy toward improving cultural life of neighborhoods throughout LA and building city-wide cultural vibrancy.

NAP offers users an access and ability to interpret the complete and up-to-date datasets on arts and culture in each Los Angeles neighborhood.

The Youth Arts Profile is the first phase of the larger Neighborhood Arts Profile project with a focus on youth arts and wellbeing in Los Angeles neighborhoods.

The Youth Arts Profile has two objectives:

  1. Increase accessibility and actionability of data on youth learning and social wellbeing
  2. Catalyze cross-sectoral efforts to advance arts equity for youth in neighborhoods across LA

The NAP project curates, visualizes, and aggregates existing research findings and establishes data partnerships with similar initiatives in the region.
